Tuning the Conductivity, Morphology, and Capacitance with Enhanced Antibacterial Properties of Polypyrrole by Acriflavine Hydrochloride

In this study, a simple one-step preparation of polypyrrole (PPy) assisted by an organic dye, acriflavine hydrochloride (AF), was investigated. The presence dye resulted in the development PPy nanofibers with conductivity enhanced up to 14 S cm–1. structural analysis Fourier-transform infrared and Raman spectroscopies confirmed interaction AF PPy. As far as electrochemical activity is concerned, gravimetric capacitance increased 85 F g–1 help AF. Additionally, substantial improvement antibacterial against Staphylococcus aureus Escherichia coli bacteria for all PPy-containing achieved. conductivity, morphology, capacitance, remarkable properties tuned enable applications wherever electroconductivity should meet requirements, example, wound healing, sensors, bioactuators, or even regenerative medicine.
